Alexander Stesin (b. 1978) - Russian poet living in New York. The oncologist by profession, he changed many habitats, published in Russian and foreign magazines ("foreign literature", "New World", "Banner", "October", "Star", "Interpoesia", "New Journal", " "Snob" et al), Released three books of poems. Several years ago, at his own free will, Zesin went to work as the only doctor in the village in Gan. About this large African journey - from preparation to consequences - is told by two novels included in the book "Come back and take". The modern doctor in Gan enters the conditions similar to those that a hundred years ago inspired Bulgakov to "notes of a young doctor", and copes with difficulties, without losing a sense of humor, judgment and talent.
