One of the 676 judicial sentences was written by Judge Vladimir Arsentiev during a short night by candlelight in a distant northern village of Eastern Siberia at the turn of the century, and 20 years later, as the spring of 2020 was in bloom, this book was born.
Based on his cases, the author testifies to the right of a person to be not a means, but the purpose of the existence and activity of the state, in which the ideals of freedom, equality, and justice constitute the highest principles of the implementation of criminal justice and ensure the tranquility of the legal state of civil society, determining all our behavior.
The publication is in two languages - Russian and English.
