The book is addressed to children of primary and secondary school age. The reader plunges into the life of medieval Venice, gets acquainted with young Marco Polo and his relatives, learns about how the many years of wanderings of the great traveler began. "Highlight" of the publication is in its artistic design. The author of the book, the sculptor by education, illustrated it with her works made during numerous trips to Italy. The story in famous paintings, sculptures, architectural monuments appears to the reader alive, close. On the fields and the last pages are also posted old and modern photographs of Venice. At the end of the book there is a biography of Marco Polo, brief notes about the life of the city, as well as an intelligent dictionary and information about cities and museums, where there are works of art that inspired the author.
