The book "Rev. Sergius Radonezh and created by him Troitskaya Lavra", written in 1892 by an outstanding historian of the Russian Church by Academician E.E. Golubinsky, is the most complete, thorough and authoritative scientific and historical essay dedicated to the famous Russian monastery and its founder.
This publication is carried out by Trinity-Sergiye Lavra in the ongoing series of books "Trinity Library". The text is printed on the second high-hearted publishing book E. E. Golubinsky (1909) with the preservation of author"s spelling and punctuation. Related errors are fixed.
The new edition is equipped with a modern scientific apparatus (editorial comments, bibliographic list of printed sources used by the author, pointers) The illustrative material of the edition of 1909 is complemented by modern photographs of architectural monuments of the Lavra and its surroundings
