This collection dedicated to Rev. Nikona, the Optina Confessor, consists of its lives, letters and the so-called will.
Life compiled by the wonderful Russian Agiographer Igumen Damascus (Orlovsky) reveals the image of a real Christian devotee to the reader.
The collection contains the most complete collection of letters of Rev. Nikon, many of which are published for the first time, as well as the letters of reference optucleus Irodiakon Peter (Dracheva, L981), who cared for a seriously ill confessor in the last months of his life.
In the publication, an already previously published so-called testament of St. Nicon - notes made by the confessor in prison on the fields of the Book of St. Ignatius Bryanchaninov
