Venerable elder Simeon

"Remember: there is no one closer to us than God... When you hear the word 'God,' fill yourself with love. The Lord holds onto those who hold onto Him." Reverend Simeon (Zhelny) is one of the most revered elders of the Pskov-Pechersk Monastery of the 20th century. A true ascetic, he acquired the gift of miracles and reasoning through the grace of God. His simplicity and humility, fervent love for God, and paternal care for others instilled hope and faith in the Divine Providence in everyone who came to him for help and comfort.
