Collective labor is dedicated to the methodological, theoretical and empirical analysis of values, value orientations of the person, as well as the value grounds of psychological science.
The work carried out a methodological analysis of the trends in the development of sociogumanitarian knowledge, clearly manifested in psychology. The provision is developed on the inevitability of incorporating non-governmental and universal values in the foundation of psychological science. Six levels of value reasons for psychology playing a significant role in building a system of psychological knowledge are identified. Conceptual issues of the formation and development of psychological knowledge, the value-semantic basis for the creative way of the human existence in the profession, the essence and mechanisms of the value of the human I, the value-semantic contexts of human self-realization, the role of values and value orientations in a subject-acting approach are discussed. The authors on the theoretical and empirical level investigate the value conditionedness of the typological features of the professional thinking of psychologists, the value orientations of managers with different personal characteristics, differences in the structure of values, meanings and personal characteristics of residents of Siberia, the relationship of values as components of the mentality of Russians with Patennalism settings in relation to political power .
