Bruce Chartwin (1940-1989) is a British writer who worked at different times by an impressionism expert in the auction house "Sotbis" and an art and architecture consultant in the newspaper Sunday Times. The real edition included his texts, one way or another related to art: a novel about the collector of the Meseen porcelain "UTC", a preface to albums, articles and essays of different years. In his texts, Chatwin, a sophisticated stylist and a brilliant narrator, describes the world of collectors and connoisseurs of art as a special atmosphere, with a different optics and intimate relationships between the work and its owner or observer. And he himself acts as a collector of entertaining facts, interesting interlocutors and forgotten names
