An exciting historical detective novel by the winner of the 'Russian Detective' award, Nikolay Svechin. The action of Nikolay Svechin's novel 'Ural Echo' takes place in the summer of 1913: in St. Petersburg, a supervisor of the detective police goes missing. His body is not found, but it is evident that he was killed by criminals. Suspicion falls on a prominent criminal authority in the capital known as Count Platov. The search for the killer reaches a dead end, but during the investigation, stolen platinum from the Ural mines is discovered. Terrorists from the gang of the Ural rebel Lbov unearthed the treasure of the ataman from the ground and are preparing to use that money to assassinate the tsar! Lykov and his assistant Azvestopulo urgently travel to the Ural capital of Yekaterinburg, where they manage to uncover a scheme of metal thefts, arrest Platov, and crush the local Social Revolutionaries. However, they never expected to be drawn into the criminal whirlpool themselves.
