The book shows the development of the culture of the upper Paleolithic of the central regions of the Russian plain. The study is based on the results of the typological analysis of stone industries, the spatial structure, as well as works of art of small forms of late -paleolithic pods. The main problem considered in the monograph is the ratio of continuity and variability in the development of the material culture of the Upper Paleolithic monuments of the Desna basin and the Middle Dnieper. Materials of recently open parking are published, related to the early pores of the upper paleolithic. Settlements of the middle and late pores of the upper Paleolithic are considered within the framework of such phenomena as Eastern gravett and eastern epigervette. The continuity in the development of material culture between the gravett and epigrothic parking lots is postulated. The process of disintegration of the general cultural context of the Eastern gravett is shown on local options, which occurs in the later time of the upper Paleolithic
