Guards infantry and rifle shelves before the beginning of the First World War were terrible for those times with a complex structure. In the states of the regiments, traditional categories of military personnel were preserved, from which they were not in a hurry to refuse: musicians, linear and signals, signs, many uniform various appointments, sanitary panels, etc. In the shelves with the maritime past there were boiler teams. But new units appeared, the formation of which was a reflection of technological progress in military affairs. These were special teams that ensured the running of the battle, taking into account the requirements of the beginning of the 20th century: teams of foot and horse scouts, machine-gun, projector team, team for communications, in which self-collectors, telephonists and horse orders come. The rapidly changing conditions of the First World War made it necessary for further subsidizing infantry. There were regferred grenadiers, a blizzard, a team of trench guns, equipped with bombing, mortars and small-caliber guns. The number of shelf sapping increased to the size of the whole team. During the war, there was also a need for creating a team for collecting weapons, a police team, the presence of conductors of guard dogs. Features of the outfit, equipment and weapons of these specialized units are covered in detail in this book.
Third Siniron Book "Outfitting, Equipment and Armament of the Russian Imperial Army, 1914-1917" Includes a description of the shape and equipment of several parts of the guard that had an outfit that entrusting their story imprint. This is the Life Guard of the 4th Infantry of the Imperial Surname of the Regiment and the Rota of Palace Grenaders, for many decades who have preserved uniforms and hats, first assigned by the Emperor Nikolai I.
A certain tradition was maintained at the mouth for more than a hundred years not only in the outfit of the guard, but also in the appearance of recruits that have beyond the shelves in peacetime. For the first time this aspect on the basis of various memoir data is considered in detail in this edition. In addition to the Guards Infantry and Rifle regiments "on the guard of the throne", there was its own imperial Majesty, a consolidated infantry regiment, which was completed by officers and lower ranks, were commissioned not only from the Guards, but also from the Army parts, as well as the fleet crews. However, the Guards position of the regiment entered a number of features in uniforms and equipment of commoded military servicemen.
To replenish the Guards Infantry and Rifle regiments during the war, spare guards infantry and rifle battalions were formed. They were "forge of frames" of the route of the Marsh Roth and were supplied with samples of hiking uniforms and equipment of their maternal guards parts, although with some differences. But few people assumed that it was these battalions that directly related to the support of the royal throne - the Guard will play a fateful role in the February Revolution of 1917 and the cause of the collapse of the Russian Empire
