In the most popular Orthodox book of recent years - "Unholy Saints" and other stories by Metropolitan Tikhon (Shevkunov), the 17th edition of which was released with a new cover design at the Pskov-Pechersk Monastery, there are stories about the amazing action of God's Providence in the author's life, as well as in the lives of people known to him. Among the characters in the work are Archimandrite Ioann (Krestyankin), Archimandrite Alipy (Voronov), Archimandrite Nafanail (Pospelov), Archpriest Nikolai Guryanov, Sergei Bondarchuk, Bulat Okudzhava, Andrei Bitov, the family of Marshal Georgy Zhukov, and many others. Some of them contributed to the spiritual growth of the author, while for others, the ascent to the Lord helped them to achieve something. The stories in the book are filled with warm humor, a sense of the miraculous, and the joyful feeling of God's presence.
For the book "Unholy Saints" and other stories, translated into 14 languages, Metropolitan Tikhon of Pskov and Porkhov became the laureate of the following awards: "Book of the Year" (2012), "Runet Book Award" (2012), Big Literary Prize of Russia (2016), All-Russian Literary Prize named after N.S. Leskov "Enchanted Wanderer" (2017).
