Under the gaze: Ophthalmological poetics of cinema and literature

The book studies the visual nature of the symbolic language of the art of cinema and literature from the position of the ophthalmic theory of speech activity. This concept argues that the perception and the generation of aesthetic reality is associated with emotional disorders of the mental apparatus and the senses - hearing and vision organs - upon contact with the difficult actual reality, due to the subject"s attempts to overcome the identity conflict and determine its place in sociocultural discourse.
