Yuri Koval started writing back in school: instead of solving algebra problems, he composed poems during classes. His first publications appeared in the institute newspaper 'Leninets'. Koval graduated from a pedagogical institute and received two diplomas at once: one as a teacher of Russian language and literature, and the other as a teacher of drawing. Later on, he often illustrated his (and others') books himself. In addition, he worked as a screenwriter for animated films and children's movies, a sculptor, and a singer-songwriter. But most of all, Koval is known and loved as a children's writer, the author of the famous 'Nedopyoska'.
When the preschooler Serpokrylov was patrolling his possessions in the morning, he discovered a beast of an unknown breed tied to the neighbor Vera Merinova's doghouse. The preschooler did not know where this young fox had come from, but he firmly decided to set it free, or in simpler terms - to steal it. He did not even imagine the commotion that would arise in the neighboring school when Vera and her classmates discovered the disappearance. And of course, he had no idea that an alarm had been raised at the nearby animal farm and the chase for the Nedopyoska had already begun.
