Zalman Schneur (real name Zalman Zaginda) was a talented poet and a prolific prose writer, who wrote in Hebrew and on Yiddish, the author of many stories and novels. In 1929, the writer published the book "Shklovy", a collection of stories, imbued with a soft irony and nostalgia about his hometown. In 2012, the Shklovtsy were transferred to Russian and published by the publishing house "books". In the collection of stories, Uncle Zyama (1930), readers will meet with his acquaintances on the previous book and the new inhabitants of Shklov.
