The book discusses the optimal use of ultrasound in a complex with other radiation diagnostic methods to identify the tumors of the colon. Special emphasis is on the diagnosis of early stages of colorectal cancer.
Methodico-semiotic, methodological and technical aspects of an intestinal ultrasound study, allowing to estimate the condition of soft tissues in layer-by-layer visualization, determine the degree of invasion of the tumor into the tumor and the surrounding organs, the presence of metastases in regional and remote lymph nodes, as well as in organs. The diagnosis of complicated forms and metastases of colon cancer is devoted to individual chapters.
Special attention is paid to ultrasound examination after the operational and radiation treatment of tumor diseases of the colon.
