This guide is intended for employees of maintenance stations, repair enterprises, owners of UAZ cars and introduces the service and repair of cars on the basis of spare parts manufactured by AOOT UAZ or in coordination with it.
The manual contains the main technical data and characteristics of cars and their units, are given recommendations for their maintenance and repair (disassembling, defining and troubleshooting, assembling and adjusting).
UAZ cars are intended for operation in off-road conditions away from stationary repair bases. Therefore, along with other advantages, the undoubted advantage of these cars is simplicity of maintenance and repair. At the same time, a set of special tools and devices for assembling-disassembly of nodes and aggregates of UAZ cars are developed. The list of such equipment is provided in Appendix 2.
In recent years, the nomenclature of manufactured cars has significantly expanded. A number of them, such as UAZ-31514, -3153, -33036, -3909, -39094, -39095, is considered in this manual,
Information on individual nodes, which can be installed on cars, in particular on the front spring suspension, onboard transmission are also given.
The manual can be used as a manual at the repair of almost any UAZ cars with a carburetor engine, serially produced in recent years and currently produced.
On the layout (location of nodes and aggregates) UAZ cars can be divided into two families:
The UAZ-31512 family has a cabin located behind the engine (UAZ-31512, -31514, -3153 and their modifications),
The UAZ-3741 family has a cabin located above the engine (UAZ-3741, -3962, -2206, -3303, -33036, -3909, -39094, -39095 and their modifications)
