In the monograph reconstructed the inner meaning of the monuments of Sefavid painting of the XVI century. Miniature painting is considered as an expression of the religious and mystical Muslim concept of the device two worlds - hidden and revealed. The author considers the problems of numerical, color and astral symbolism in Sefavid painting, reflection of the Sufi, Shiite and Hurfit ideas about space in the visual structure of the compositions, reproduction of a cosmogonical act in the process of creating a miniature serving as micro-model macromir. The ciphers and codes, which allowed the medieval viewer to read the true meaning of the literary illustrations, the secrets of mastery of medieval painters are opened. For the first time, some special functions of miniature painting are also investigated. The monograph is equipped with numerous illustrations and schemes
