The autobiographical novel by B. Ruben "Two on the canvas of memory" is the story of bright love, the tragically cut off the death of the heroine (whose true name Evdokia Alexandrovna Ilyinskaya).
In the novel, the action of which takes place in the last period of the Soviet era, the eternal theme of the life of people who seek to live in conscience is revealed - despite the reality surrounding them.
The book also includes some stories from written in the same era and first published already in the post -Soviet time.
