Turtles. Care, diseases, and treatment

The book by D.B. Vasiliev, a leading herpetologist at the Moscow Zoo, a veterinarian, a member of the International Association of Veterinarians Practicing with Amphibians and Reptiles (ARAV), discusses diseases of turtles in captivity. Special attention is paid to the issues of proper care and feeding of turtles as the main factor in preventing many diseases. A significant part of the book is devoted to methods of general and laboratory diagnostics of internal diseases, therapy, and surgery of this exotic group of animals. Therapeutic schemes provided in the appendix are the most comprehensive to date and are applicable for treating not only turtles but also other reptiles.
