The current stage of the economic and foreign policy development of Russia is characterized by turning to the east - attention paid to the Asia -Pacific region is growing against the background of the deterioration of Russia"s relations with the West. The question of at what pace this turn will flow and what forms it will acquire is one of the key for Russian state policy. It is especially relevant for the eastern territories of Russia, to which new challenges are facing and new opportunities are opened.
A collective monograph presents the results of a long -term scientific research aimed at identifying key areas and consequences of a Russian turn to the east. The authors state the growing role of Siberia and the Far East for the country"s economic development and outline the main contours of Russian state policy both in the field of development of these territories and in the field of building long-term cooperation with neighbors in the Asia-Pacific region.
