The book is written by the team of teachers and students of the Higher School of Economics based on the results of a three-year research project. It is dedicated to the modern Tsaritsyno: a living and saturated cultural space in which various concepts of history are faced, various ideas about the norm, about culture, various logic of the formation of functional properties and the atmosphere of the modern (post-Soviet, metropolitan) city. The main hero of the book is a visitor of Tsaritsyno, for which this historical attraction is running, and which itself, in the process of use, overrides its content and conditions for its development. This modern visitor Tsaritsyno researchers addressed both more general theoretical and concrete ethnographic issues. The publication is illustrated by photographs made by project participants
