Initially, the task before G.S. Altshuller and his like-minded colleagues was to develop a methodology that would enhance the effectiveness of the creative activities of technical specialists. A huge amount of research on the work products of inventors from around the world was required in order to gradually, step by step, year by year, summarize their experience and create a generalized picture of effective creativity. In the process of generalization, their results constantly needed practical verification and adjustment. Therefore, the focus was on the technology of inventive work. The theoretical platform of this work was gradually emerging as evidence of the effectiveness of the rapidly developing technology. As a result, practical and theoretical aspects became closely intertwined with each other. This hinders the scientific understanding of the accumulated body of knowledge, and therefore its development.
The objectives of this book are:
- to highlight the theoretical essence of the Altshuller algorithmic methodology, which has long spread beyond solving inventive problems,
- to demonstrate the possibilities of multi-purpose algorithmic thinking, with His Majesty the Method at its core.
The book is intended for specialists who are mastering and applying TRIZ technologies, educators and students of technical and humanitarian educational institutions, school teachers, as well as anyone interested in understanding what TRIZ really is and how to significantly improve the effectiveness of their thinking using simple means.
