This monograph is dedicated to the analysis of the representation of royal power in England from 1485 to 1533, which included the following methods of legitimization and propaganda of the dynasty: creation of a new dynastic mythology, court historiography, development of iconography of power and rituals of court festive culture with its symbolic subtext, construction of the image of the monarch as the central figure of the political theater. The work pays special attention to the study of the complex of materials of the intellectual and cultural life of the English court during the era of the First Tudors: works of court historians and poets, painters, sculptors, including those from the circle of the royal family.
