The first edition of the book written by American infectious professor Jeide Sanford was published in 1992. Since that time, the book is reprinted every year: until 1996, the editor of the book was Jay Senford, and after his death, the leading American specialists continued. This is one of the most famous guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of HIV infection and viral hepatitis, which are used by the doctors of the whole world. The book of pocket format contains all the necessary information on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of HIV infection, AIDS, viral hepatitis, opportunistic infections and other HIV infection complications.
The book consists of tables, which allows you to quickly find all the necessary information. Currently, the publication includes new drugs (RILPIVIN), new antiretroviral treatment regimens with drugs once a day, new post-contact prevention recommendations, updated antiretroviral therapy schemes and diagnostic methods taking into account new recommendations and diagnostic tests.
