“Journey on Snark” (Eng. The Cruise of the Snark) is an autobiographical illustrated story by Jack London, first published in 1911, which describes his journey through the southern part of the Pacific Ocean on the Snark cap. In this journey of London, his wife Charmian and a small crew accompanied. London describes the numerous difficulties in the construction of the “Snark”, his training in marine navigation, the acquisition of the experience of healing far from civilization and other details of this adventure. He visits exotic places, including Hawaii and Solomon Islands, and the photos taken by him give an idea of these remote corners of the Pacific Ocean at the beginning of the 20th century
