"Caspian has been my dream from childhood, from the moment when I saw in the geography textbook his Bryushin protruding to Central Asia. He fell out of the womb of my homeland with a cyclopean lumpy last, inside of which the fetus was visible, the emergence of any civilization in general. ” Following the long-standing plan, the writer and traveler Alexei Rachun takes the long-awaited trip to the Caspian shores in the company of his wife, son and the mysterious GPS navigator named Oksana. Before us is not an ordinary injury, full of descriptions of exotic places, outlandish traditions and miracles of nature. Rather, on the contrary: passing through the steppes, bypassing provincial snacks, traffic police posts and heading for the treasured Mangyshlak, the author rethinks his idea of the post -Soviet space and tries to understand the logic of the decay of the usual psychogeographic contours. In his ironic and places with a melancholy narrative, he seeks not to glue the ruins of the former empire, but to share their sad beauty with the reader. What will be the meeting with the dream of the Caspian, born in completely different historical circumstances? And can hope for a miracle be stronger than time?
