Chinese civilization is one of the longest in the world, but the country that we know today has forbidden for the most part the events that occurred in the 20th century. This unique, full of drama and dynamics experience does not know analogues in the history of mankind. At the dawn of the century, an extremely weak Chinese empire was seized by a revolutionary movement, which led to the fall of the Imperial House of Qing and the creation of the Chinese republic. The new state association was in the power of local feudal lords, eager for money and not counting with the needs of the people. The constant struggle for power between the clicks of the militarists allowed the nationalist party to the nationalist party, led by Chan Kayshi, who established his hard dictatorship in the country and began a desperate struggle with the main political opponents - communists. In China, a civil war broke out, lasting until 1949. Meanwhile, in 1931, Japan, in the desire to become a colonial power and gain access to resources, occupied Manchuria, which actually marked the beginning of World War II in the region. Monstrous tests fell to the share of the Chinese people, and the number of victims is measured in tens of millions. The oppressed and disenfranchised peasant population of China turned to their hopes to the Communists, who had to have glory to the fame of folk heroes in the stoic struggle with the Gomintan and managed to defend part of the country"s territory. In 1949, despite the enormous support of the United States, Chan Kayshi and his minions had to flee to Taiwan Island, granting the Communists all the fullness of power. Under the leadership of Mao Zedong, large -scale transformations began in China, which soon took the form of severe social experiments that cost tens of millions of ordinary citizens. Having stoically overcome these trials, the country, led by the Communist Party, chose the path of pragmatism, leaving political experiments behind, which allowed it to carry out an economic breakthrough and reach the heights that in 1979, at the dawn of reforms, no one thought. In 2017, the PRC GDP exceeded 25 trillion dollars in terms of purchasing power, while in the United States the same indicator stopped at a mark of 19 trillion dollars. The centenary of wars and suffering ended for China with an economic triumph - and this does not end there
