This is a story about a small, little -known wide public island in the Atlantic Ocean. Although it belongs to the European country - Portugal, life there is very peculiar, some of its sides can cause surprise and even rejection. And people are different, very dissimilar to Europeans more familiar to us, like Germans or French. Even, surprisingly, the role of a woman in society does not really meet the modern criteria of gender equality. However, nothing prevented the author of the book from falling in love with this corner of the earth and try to convey this feeling to the reader not only with the help of a word, but also of numerous species and household photographs
