The book of Academician B.C.M.Mamasnikova talks about the establishment and development for four centuries of political and economic relations between Russia and China. Particular attention is paid to official documents - agreements and agreements underlying these relations. It is shown how the parties managed to form the most extended border in the world peacefully, without wars. The spatial and temporary scale of interaction between the two powers were such that in the 19th century they went beyond bilateral relations and turned into regional ones, and after 1950 became a factor that determines world development. A comprehensive analysis of the complete history of Russian-Chinese relations is the first experience of this kind in world historiography.
