Of the caves and debris of Hindustan, this is a book written by Elena Petrovna Blavatsky, and published in the period from 1879 to 1886 in Russia under the pseudonym Radda -by. It is a series of travel essays about India of the second half of the XIX century. This work was printed first in the newspaper Moscow Vedomosti, and then in the journal Russian Bulletin. The first (and large) part of the essays was released in 1883 by a separate publication with a subtitle of writing to his homeland as an appendix to the Russian messenger. In this book, E.P. Blavatsky colorfully describes the impressions of Indian nature, the animal world, the way of life of the people of India and its rulers. She talks about ancient customs, rites and beliefs, about ancient sanctuaries, temples and fortresses, cave buildings, cities lost in the jungle. The author meets and leads dialogs with bramins, yogis, scientists and philosophers of India. A talented presentation that creates the effect of presence represents the reader a bright and holistic image of a great country
