The textbook is written in accordance with the curriculum and is designed for students of higher medical educational institutions. It is a reissue of the textbook "Traumatology and Orthopedics," which has been published three times since 1995. The book retains the structure and main sections of the previous edition, but the material has been revised and supplemented according to modern views and approaches in the treatment of musculoskeletal pathology. The most common injuries and orthopedic diseases are covered with special attention to diagnostic issues and providing initial medical care to traumatology and orthopedic patients. The textbook is illustrated with photographs and X-rays of patients with various pathologies. Methods of surgical treatment are presented in the form of diagrams, sometimes simplified for clarity, introduction, and formation of an understanding of them by a general practitioner. The book is intended for students of the 4th-6th year of medical, pediatric, medical-preventive, and dental faculties of medical universities. 2nd revised edition.
