Transient ischemic attack (TIA) is well known as a precursor of ischemic stroke. At the same time, TIA is easily ignored or not recognized by patients and even general practitioners due to the fact that the symptoms take place independently, without treatment. Despite this, in the early time after Tia, the risk of developing a stroke in patients is very high. Since it is impossible to differentiate the TIA from an acute ischemic stroke only on the duration of symptoms, both states should be attributed to one circle of acute ischemic syndrome in the central nervous system.
