In ancient times, the talent denoted a unit of weight and the highest monetary unit corresponding to silver weighing about 30 kg. In the New Testament time, this word began to mean the talent and ability of a person. Each of us receives spiritual and material gifts in life from God. This is bodily health, and the mind, and the abilities of our soul, and everyday blessings, and much more. After all, our life itself is the gift of God. These talents are given to each person differently according to his strength so that he can serve with their help to God and his neighbors. We will try not to bury our talents in our earthly life, as the lazy and crafty slave did in the parable, but to increase them and get a reward from Christ in his kingdom
