Poet, economist and public figure Evgeny Saburov (R. 1946) is one of the most vibrant and paradoxical figures of modern Russian poetry. His poetic creativity is not the leisure of the famous public intellectual, but the necessary and most important component of its activities. In his poems, tenderness and reckless mockery are combined, and in front of the first view, the lyrical plots are hidden by the most complex ichit of cultural allocions and tense reflections on religious and historical topics. The central works of this book are two new large poems "towards Africa" (name refers to the poem F. Petrarchka "Africa") and "artist in old age"
