The attack named after the wonderful chess player Carlos Torre is usually associated with the development of the initiative on the king through the F2-F4 or the onset of the Ferz flank using B2-B4. A great contribution to the theory and practice of the option was made by the ninth world champion Tigran Petrosyan. Actual branching of this system is often found in the modern tournament practice of large chess players
