This publication includes both the new translation of the Pentateuch of Moiseev and the gftar - fragments from the books of the prophets, completing the reading of the weekly section of the Torah in the synagogue and thematically associated with this section. The purpose of the new translation is to offer the reader the literary Russian text of the Bible, in a semantic attitude as close as possible to the Hebrew original. The translation is in line with the Jewish tradition, focusing not on biblicalism and hebraistics, but on the Jewish exegez, primarily on the classic medieval commentary of Rasha
