The publication of international anatomical terminology (ROME, 1998) largely predetermined the appearance of the textbook "topographic anatomy and operational surgery" for students of therapeutic, pediatric, medical and preventive and military faculties of medical institutions of medical institutions. It included important new terms and concepts that were not in former textbooks, for which it was necessary to drastically recycle the book and make changes to all chapters.
Development of modern medicine, the emergence of new surgical and diagnostic methods (ultrasound diagnostics, computed tomography, etc) also determined the need and relevance of this publication.
The textbook is drawn up in accordance with the curriculum for students of higher medical schools.
For a better understanding of the outlined material, the textbook is supplemented with a large number of color schemes and drawings (more than 900), showing the layer-by-layer structure of the anatomical regions and the steps of operations.
The textbook is intended for students of medical universities and medical faculties, as well as for doctors of various specialties
