The content and volume of material in the textbook comply with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard and the exemplary program on topographic anatomy and operational surgery.
The exposition of the material strictly corresponds to the principle of layer-by-layer study of the topographic anatomy of the regions of the human body using the modern international anatomical nomenclature (Roman, 1999).
Compared to the two previous publications, illustratively improved, sections concerning the clinical aspects of topographic anatomy are expanded. In addition to tests for self-test, situational tasks have been introduced into the textbook. A chapter is not given with methodological materials on the main elements of operational techniques, since each department has its own methodological developments written in accordance with their experiences of their presentation.
Textbook is intended to students of III-IV courses of therapeutic, pediatric, medical and preventive, dental and military faculties of medical universities.
