Toma and Tyoma are two-year-old toddlers. They live nearby, go to the same kindergarten, often visit each other, play and walk together. In short, they are friends.
Toma and Tyoma already know and can do a lot, but each day brings them something new. They learn to understand their own and others' emotions, empathize, interact with the surrounding world, and acquire important skills.
The book includes three stories: "Toma and Tyoma at the Kindergarten," "Toma and Tyoma on the Farm," "Toma and Tyoma at Home."
They are based on colorful illustrated spreads. There is not much text, but nevertheless, each story has an original plot with an unexpected and funny twist in the end. Such stories are perfect for reading and discussing with children aged 1-3. The situations and things mentioned in the book are understandable and familiar to children of this age: a day at the kindergarten, pets, toys, and games.
The stories about Toma and Tyoma were created by Swedish writer Emily Andren. According to her, these short stories are based on her parenting experience and memories of her own childhood. She tried to show what the world looks like through the eyes of a two-year-old child, and she succeeded. By reading such books to their children, parents will remember what it means to be little and will be able to better understand their two-year-olds.
The stories are illustrated by the well-known Swedish artist Lisa Moroni. Our publishing house has already released two books with her illustrations ("Live, Little Caterpillar!" and "This is My Unicorn!").
