An extensive material on the study of titanates is presented, which are complex oxide compounds of titanium, in which the inter -valentine interaction of the diverse titanium ions in combination with the isomorphic substitutions of the titanium with cations of other elements is manifested. Artificial titanates are highlighted in a special variety of chemical compounds having analogues among earthly and lunar minerals. The work summarizes the results of the studies of titanates by the methods of optical, x-ray and coolant spectroscopy, the results of thermodynamic modeling of the processes of restoration of simple and complex titans are given, as well as the technological processes of obtaining titanates formed during the processing of titanomagnetitis, ilmenitis and other ore raw materials of various deposits of Russia.
