Time of timeless. Story of the 80s

The third volume of the cycle of “The Tale of the 80s” included the story “Island of the Military Council”, the play “Engineers” and the story “Meeting”. The story Island of the Military Council has already been published separately in our publishing house, this is a semi-documentary story about the patriotic movement of Soviet students in the 60-80s. The author was eight times in construction teams, so he found real words - about the organization of detachments with all its multi -sized stages, and about the shock work, about creative, “explosive” - to match the work - rest, about songs and about love. No wonder in the subtitle to the book it is indicated - “Song”. The song is about youth, trials and love.
The play “Engineers” already has a different tonality- now the breath of this very, indicated in the subtitle of the cycle, “time of timelessness”, is clearly heard: most technical intellectuals- engineers- become unclaimed in the country of losing inertia, and a story about a meeting of classmates- Energetics five years after graduation is a subtle illustration of the advancing stagnation
