The Operation of Pavel Sudoplatov. Based on real events, the story of a Soviet intelligence officer by the classic of suspenseful prose Georgy Sviridov. Instead of an experienced spy, a professional boxer is sent behind enemy lines. In late 1942, Sergeant Igor Miklashevsky, a former boxing champion of Leningrad and defender of the city, defects to the German side. The enemies are unaware that Miklashevsky has been tasked by the legendary Pavel Sudoplatov to find and eliminate the famous Soviet actor Blumental-Tamarin, who has become a Nazi propagandist, and then Hitler himself. After being vetted, Miklashevsky is sent to a battalion formed of traitors in the German army. Along with the battalion, he is sent to France to carry out his mission. In a short time, he becomes a renowned boxer and gets closer to Berlin and his targets. After eliminating Blumental-Tamarin, Miklashevsky is forced to flee but sustains severe injuries. Only the help of Belgian anti-fascists saves his life. Then follows a German hospital, escape to the French resistance, victory, and boxing.
