A.G. Miroshnikov, like many born in the sixties of the last century, experienced the period of pioneer songs, later construction brigade songs, a phase of fascination with rock-n-roll, and the era of blues. Early reading of books - from his father's 'Regulations of Guard Duty', classical authors found in the house, to the piercing freshness and novelty of poetry from the magazine 'Youth' - determined his love for the Word, creative taste. His poetry is characterized by a bias in the search for rhymes, the paradoxical nature of images and plots, creative freedom, and dependence only on the whims of poetic inspirations. 'My only creative teachers were books.' In the collections of poems by A.G. Miroshnikov, military marches, soldier songs, hard rock drive, longing, and hope of blues harmoniously coexist. Although most of the author's life was spent outside of Russia, on a deserted peninsula, in a city that was once aimed at a bright future of the Soviet era, in a multinational environment, his lyrics are deeply Russian in essence... Two phrases define his system of views and life values: 'It is shameful for a poet to suffer' by Joseph Brodsky and 'For once the voice is given to you, poet, / The rest is taken' by Marina Tsvetaeva. Because poetry is a sacrificial service to the native language. Nothing should influence the poet if he is a poet. Only the presence of Time and Place matters. Time and Place are coordinates important in any period: in youth - for intentions, plans, and in the later days of life - for preserving in memory the days lived, events, faces.
