The new volume of the Great Travel series is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding Russian traveler and researcher Peter Kuzmich Kozlov. The basis of the anniversary publication was the two main works of P.K. Kozlov: "Tibet and Dalai Lama" and "Mongolia and Ampo and the dead city of Hara-Hoto". The applications publish the story of the last (Mongol-Tibetan) expedition of P.K. Kozlov (1923-1926), a brief description of the first independent (Tibetan) expedition (1899-1901), written by the researcher for the magazine "Russian antiquity", and Also, the little -known autobiography of the traveler.
Like the previous editions of the series, the book is perfectly designed and richly illustrated. Most of the photographs were made by P.K. Kozlov himself during his expeditions. Colored pictures are published for the first time
