The artistic works of S. Belsky (real name Simon Fedorovich Savchenko, 1883-1917) are diverse on topics (mysticism, historical and ethnographic fantasy, atomic and environmental disasters, interplanetary messages), are often permeated by a sense of close death, the fragility of the old world. In the novel Under the Cometa (1910), the author describes a global catastrophe, which can be considered as a metaphor for upcoming social shocks - a clash of the Earth with a comet
