Joe Talbert, a college student, receives an interview with an elderly person and write his autobiography. The nursing home Joe is offered to talk with Karl Iverson, dying of cancer. At one time, he was convicted of rape and murder of a young girl and spent thirty years in prison. Joe decides to meet with Karl, who promises to tell the truth about what really happened many years ago. And the more Joe learns about Karl’s life, the more difficult it is for him to believe that such a person could commit a cruel crime. As Joe and his friend Lyla get acquainted with the materials of the trial and the diary of the murdered, the bets are becoming higher, the danger lies in wait for them at every step.
