The widely known name of the renowned Russian educator Konstantin Dmitrievich Ushinsky is well-known. A bold innovator, he was often persecuted during his lifetime. The scholarly class of that era could not fully appreciate his outstanding talents. Over time, Ushinsky's ideas were highly valued by society and formed the basis of all Soviet and Russian pedagogy. Ushinsky became the first Russian educator to prioritize mass education over elitist education. Analyzing the experience of European and American pedagogy of his time, he applied it to the realities of Russia. A patriot and practitioner who defended the ideas of populism in relation to school practice, he considered the ideal school to be one that would prepare a completely moral person. This book collects the most important pedagogical works of Konstantin Dmitrievich Ushinsky.
