The monograph is dedicated to one of the topical and most difficult problems of emergency surgery of peaceful and military time. At the present level, there are issues of pathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment at the prehospital stage and under conditions of injuries of victims with thoracoabdomal wounds deposited by cold and firearms, as well as with closed diaphragm breaks. The original, the most complete of the existing, classification of these wounds is given. The methods of assessing the severity of injuries, predicting the outcomes of the traumatic shock and the basis of the concept of therapeutic and tactical prediction in combined shocked damages are set. Particular attention is paid to the stagey surgical tactics of Damage Control and the peculiarities of anesthesiological and resuscitation allowance for thoraco-abdominal injuries accompanied by shock. The monograph is illustrated by a large number of intrinsic intraoperative and other photographs.
