Thomas Moran, who received an unofficial title of American landscape players in the United States, was born in England, in the city of Bolton, and in 1844 the Thomas family emigrated to America. The first steps in the art of the future artist did as a student of Engraver, his elder brother Edward, quite successful at the artist, and continued his studies at the famous Philadelphian landscape player James Hamilton. In the early 1860s, the Morags brothers visited Europe, having been in Italy, France and England. A particularly large influence on the subsequent creativity of the painter was played by staying in London, where Thomas Moran plunged into the world of Turner, whom he studied for several months and copied that he subsequently had a huge impact on all his creativity. In the new homeland, the painter takes part in the expeditions around the country, creating many drawings and etudes of impressive species of North American land, later creating a canvas based on them, which became known for a wide range of connoisseurs, lovers, collectors. Many works of Thomas Moragan dedicated to Yellowstone and Colorado were not only bought by the US Congress, but also contributed to the creation of the Yellowstone National Park.
